Where to Stay in Pattaya

During a visit to Pattaya, you can stay in various areas, which will be dictated by your needs and expectations. This page summarizes some areas and provides recommendations on where to stay.

While you are reading this, think about what you think you want to do while in Pattaya. It is best to select a hotel in an area where you will spend most of your time. Many may think of Walking Street, but this area is expensive and busy. Is this really what you are after?

My personal recommendation is to select somewhere central. Obviously, this would be the Central Pattaya section below. However, also consider the Soi Buakhao/Soi LK Metro area. It is a bit further from Walking Street, but the entertainment options are more varied, and there are many go-go bars in Soi LK Metro.
